Our Story

When Kendall Langston & Greg Allnutt went to High School together back in the day, the thought never crossed their minds that they would be business consultants, owning a consultancy practice together in 2018. Ironically, it is exactly what played out as they both chose paths that saw them working in high performance executive leadership, disciplinedstrategic planning and strategy execution, and building workplace culture to support high performing teams.

Both Kendall and Greg served their time with the NZ Army, and both were Commanding Officers of Battalions at different times, with Kendall leading 2/4 Battalion, and Greg leading 2/1 Battalion. This time in both their lives did much to shape them into the people they are today. They have also both held numerous CEO & General Manager roles, leading teams of people and leading leaders.

Kendall joined the Results Group in 2008 and in 2013 became the CEO. Greg joined the company & the Senior Leadership Team in 2014 & made an immediate impact to client success. In 2016 Kendall led the Results Group brand change to Advisory.Works & also operated the Christchurch practice as it continued to grow & thrive. 

In 2018, Advisory.Works offered Kendall and Greg the opportunity to purchase the Christchurch practice, which they happily took so as to continue the growth of their consultancy. They wanted the autonomy to evolve the business model & to shape the business. In 2018 they named their business “Pivot & Pace” but continued to trade as part of Advisory.Works Christchurch. In 2020, it was time for the business to evolve again and bring Pivot & Pace to the forefront. Pivot & Pace have retained a strong & strategic partnership with the Advisory.Works Auckland based team & continue to collaborate & share various work assignments.

Pivot & Pace business consultants are ‘pracademics’ who lead by example and who have actually done the leadership roles that their clients & partners seek advice for. The Christchurch consultancy has grown over the years and seen many mid-sized businesses from different sectors through the doors from construction, manufacturing, agribusiness and IT through to healthcare, professional services and tourism. In fact the consultancy has worked with many of New Zealand’s best known brands at the executive & board level and also have clients in Australia & the USA.
